Elevation

I have a shelf and on it sits
Reminders for my heart
A place my eye can take its rest
Upon day's end or start

When all around me swims and swirls
With life's increasing pace
My treasures spill and topple
And lose their hallowed place

Pick out a place that's quiet
To focus on my dreams
Soon I see so clearly
That all's not as it seems

Lift up the objects one by one
Restore each to its spot
With elevation I can see
What's precious - what is not

Cindy, you really have a gift for writing. Whatever happened to that book you were going to write?

Love,

Nana

I'm going to start calling you Emily. Like...Emily Dickinson. Get it? She wrote poems. And you do. So...Emily. Get it?

Good job!

Hi Cindy,
just wanted to see how things were going with you. Are you in Atlanta or did you find a place in Hickory? How is Danny's dog?

How is homeschooling going?

I am in the final stretch of my pregnancy- I am due towards the end of March. Things are going well and Ella is excited for Beatrix Harper to arrive.

By the way, I finished the Christmas stockings well before Christmas. I was proud of myself that I got that project done. You probably saw the pics on my blog.

I tried sending this to 5nuggets, but it wouldn't go through.

Talk to you soon

Love you,
Steph
